HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR LEDERHOSE

To be able to wear your favorite Lederhose for a lifetime, it's not just the body that needs to stay fit. Proper care and storage are also important. With the following tips, you will be able to wear your Lederhose for a long time to come:

The right storage

The material of the lederhosen is generally very hard-wearing. That's why you can hang them up or store them folded. However, the leather must be able to breathe, so you should never wrap them in plastic.

To preserve the color of your Lederhose , you should keep them out of the sun. So it's best to store them in a well-ventilated cupboard until the next party.

The necessary care

The brand new Lederhose are now at your home and the care process can begin:

1. remove sanding dust

Sanding dust remains on the leather during the production of the traditional leather trousers. You can easily remove this dust with parcel tape before wearing them for the first time

2. seal the surface

To ensure that the Lederhose can withstand rain, it is helpful to spray the trousers with hairspray. This will seal the surface.

3. allow to dry

It is best to hang your Lederhose up to dry after this process - but not near a heater.
